STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING
All our S & C training is designed specifically to compliment combat sports training. Below are a few of the areas that we cover during training sessions:-
- SAQ (Speed, agility & quickness)
- HITT (High intensity interval training)
- Endurance training
- Tabata training
S & C is utilized in the warm up, activity and cool down phases of our training. This will enable the individual to participate to the best of their physical and technical ability. As everyone’s individual needs are different, specific interventions will be needed for each individual to improve a certain aspect of their training.
For a sporting movement to be performed the athlete needs a certain level of both the technical skills involved in the movement and the specific strength qualities which underpin it. A well-designed strength and conditioning programme, in conjunction with good sport specific technical input can increase the athletes’ tolerance to training and decrease the chance of injury.
In a class environment this can be difficult with the amount of people that attend. This is why our core business is private individual and small group tuition.
